Nexys 4 DDR is a simple to the Digilent porous RAM-based Nexys Development Board. With Xilinx®Artix™-7 FPGA chip, Nexys 4 DDR is a ready-to-use digital circuit development platform, which helps users realize applications in many industrial fields in the classroom environment. Compared with earlier versions, the optimized Artix-7 FPGA chip can realize higher performance logic, and can provide more capacity, better performance and richer resources. Equipped with high-capacity large FPGA chip (Xilinx product number XC7A100T-1CSG324C) and integrated with USB, Ethernet and other ports, nexys 4 DDR development board can realize various designs from theoretical combination circuits to powerful embedded processors. Several built-in peripherals: including a accelerometer, a temperature sensor, micro-electro-mechanical system digital microphone, loudspeaker and a large number of I/O devices enable Nexys 4 DDR to meet a wide range of design requirements without any other components. The most noteworthy improvement of the new generation of Nexys 4 DDR is to upgrade the original 16 MiBCellularRAM to 128 MiB DDR2 SDRAM memory. Digilent provides a hardware description language (VHDL) reference module to encapsulate the complexity of the DDR2 controller and is backward compatible with the asynchronous SRAM interface of CellularRAM, but there are some limitations. Nexys 4 DDR is compatible with Xilinx's latest high-performance Vivado®Design Kit and ISE®Toolkit containing ChipScope™And EDK. Xilinx offers free version WebPACK™Toolkit to help users easily implement design without paying extra fees.
